TESTIMONIAL

"The details and moods that Marlayne captures in her images recall vividly for me timeless moments spent on the Maine coast, endless afternoons rock jumping and searching tidepools for sea critters, places where all the noises are natural.  A calm and peacefulness is evoked whether it is a close-up or distant view.  Absolutely beautiful work!  I look forward to adding to/expanding my collection. Where Nature and Art Become One

Throughout history, people have promoted the restorative benefits of nature.  Time and again, it has been recommended we take walks in nature to relieve stress and refocus our thoughts.  For the past 20 years, a growing field of research called ART or "Attention Restoration Theory", posits that a walk in the woods helps refocus the mind and revive the spirit.

Of all the photos that I have taken, the ones that make it to my website were taken at times when I was at peace with myself and the world around me.  Walking along the coast or through a meadow, I get a feeling of calmness, relaxation, serenity and often reflection on life, helping me to restore my energy and refocus my mind.

My hope is for you to experience these same feelings when you see my images. To take "ART" one step further. To invoke the desire in you to bring these feelings into your home through my art.  Perhaps viewing nature is the next best thing to experiencing nature.

Enjoy your visit!    ~ Marlayne Brace
